Valencia Basket part ways with Darius Thompson

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with American point guard with Italian passport Darius Thompson to terminate the remaining two years of his contract with the club. As a result, he leaves Valencia Basket after being part of the roster that secured the first-ever domestic double for the club's men's first team, winning both the Liga Endesa and the Endesa Supercopa.

Valencia Basket would like to thank Thompson for his professionalism, commitment, and hard work throughout his time representing the club, and wishes him all the best in both his professional and personal future.

Darius Thompson joined Valencia Basket in the summer of 2025 from Anadolu Efes Istanbul. He made a total of 76 appearances in the orange jersey, averaging 8.2 points per game while shooting 36.6% from three-point range, along with 1.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and an average PIR of 8.9.
